Recently I came across several children’s books with a minimum number of words. One of them had just two words being used again and again throughout the book and another had no words at all.
As a children’s author I spend plenty of time doing research for my books, thinking about universal themes, enticing plots, compelling story arcs, creating memorable characters and believable dialogues.
Yes, I do edit everything for brevity but that still leaves a juicy story of several hundred well-thought out words.
So I’m a little baffled when I see these books with zero to two words in it. What do you think?
