Oh what a thrill! I just completed my first draft of one title of the book series I will be launching next year. While many authors call the first draft “shitty” or “word vomit,” it is so exciting for me to get it done.
I sat down to it with an idea in mind but as I was writing and my creative juices started flowing, I caught the drift and rode the wave to a really great shitty first draft. Of course this will now go through a series of edits, critiques, editors, beta-readers and so on but this is the meat! Yes, I will cook it and season it and serve it but I’ve got the meat and it feels so great!
