In this very moment we are leaving Pier 35 in San Francisco and sailing towards Alaska on board the Star Princess. This is very exciting for me for several reasons:
1. I love the Golden Gate Bridge and we will be passing under it in about 20 minutes!
2. I love the chocolate-coated strawberries my husband sends me every day (this is partly how he seduced me!)
3. We are going to Alaska - last year I wrote a whole series of children’s books about Alaska and it’s so wonderful to revisit the places that inspired me to write books that got me several awards.
4. My whole Alaska series is in the on board boutique - I still haven’t seen it though because shops only open while we’re at sea.
Gotta run! The bridge is getting closer, the shops are now open and the strawberries just arrived - I have plenty to do today!
